Flurandrenolide Medicated Tape (FLURANDRENOLIDE TAPE - TOPICAL)

This medicine is used for the following purposes:

Instructions

DO NOT take this medicine by mouth.

Apply the medicine to the affected area.

Remove the tape after 12 hours unless told to do otherwise.

Keep the medicine at room temperature. Avoid heat and direct light.

Follow the instructions on the package to use this medicine correctly.

Wash your hands before and after handling this medicine.

Apply the patch only to normal looking skin. Avoid skin that is red, scraped, or damaged.

Be sure the area of skin is clean and dry before placing the tape.

Measure the right amount of tape to use and cut. Always cut the tape with scissors. After the tape is cut, remove the liner that protects the sticky side of the tape.

Apply the tape to the affect area and press firmly for a few seconds to make sure it stays in place.

Remove any old tape before applying a new one.

After removing the tape, fold it together and discard it out of reach of children and pets.

Avoid getting the medicine in the eyes, nose, or mouth. Wash your hands after touching patch.

Drug interactions can change how medicines work or increase risk for side effects. Tell your health care providers about all medicines taken. Include prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal medicines. Speak with your doctor or pharmacist before starting or stopping any medicine.

Tell your doctor if symptoms do not get better or if they get worse.

If you forget to take a dose on time, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, do not take the missed dose. Return to your normal schedule. Do not take 2 doses at one time.

Do not share this medicine with anyone who has not been prescribed this medicine.

Seek medical attention if you see any signs of a serious infection. These signs include pain, increasing redness or pus where this medicine is being used.

Side Effects

The following is a list of some common side effects from this medicine. Please speak with your doctor about what you should do if you experience these or other side effects.

  • burning or stinging
  • dry skin
  • skin irritation where medicine is applied

Call your doctor or get medical help right away if you notice any of these more serious side effects:

  • acne
  • swelling of the legs, feet, and hands
  • hair growth
  • severe or persistent headache
  • change in skin color
  • thinning of the skin
  • unusual or unexplained tiredness or weakness
  • increased urinary frequency
  • blurring or changes of vision
  • weight loss

A few people may have an allergic reaction to this medicine. Symptoms can include difficulty breathing, skin rash, itching, swelling, or severe dizziness. If you notice any of these symptoms, seek medical help quickly.
